Looking to appoint an experienced and highly credible Interim Head of Employee Relations to join a large scale and well-known business during a period of significant change and transformation.
Reporting to the HR Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Employee Relations function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, responsive and legally compliant HR services. You will lead on complex workforce matters, support organisational change programmes, and work closely with senior leaders, representatives and key stakeholders to foster positive employment relations.

Key Responsibilities ;
• Lead and manage the Employee Relations team, ensuring effective delivery of ER services across the organisation.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance management and whistleblowing cases.
• Support and lead workforce change programmes, restructures, organisational redesign and consultation processes.
• Develop and implement ER strategies, policies and procedures in line with best practice and employment legislation.
• Build strong relationships with Trade Union representatives and staff-side organisations to maintain industrial relations.
• Advise Senior Directors, senior managers and clinical leaders on high-risk and sensitive workforce issues.
• Monitor ER trends and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, employment law and regulatory requirements.
Ideal background ;
• Significant senior-level Employee Relations experience within a large, complex sector organisation.
• Proven experience leading complex ER casework and workforce change programmes.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and workforce frameworks.
• Experience working effectively with Trade Unions and managing industrial relations matters.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery-focused.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing HR teams.
