How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

The world’s leading organizations and global players choose Proskauer to represent them when they need it the most. With 800+ lawyers in key financial centers around the world, we are known for our pragmatic and business-savvy approach.

Proskauer is the place to turn when a matter is complex, innovative and game-changing. We work seamlessly across practices, industries and jurisdictions with asset managers, private equity and venture capital firms, Fortune 500 and FTSE companies, major sports leagues, entertainment industry legends and other industry-redefining companies.

Proskauer is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the firm's Private Investment Funds (PIF) practice, one of Proskauer's most high-profile and strategically important groups. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering BD initiatives that enhance client engagement, strengthen market visibility, and support the practice's continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated BD or marketing professional to develop deep expertise in a leading global private markets practice.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Prepare new business presentations, proposals, and capability materials for client pitches and RFPs; track all activity in Foundation and related databases
    • Work closely with BD colleagues to identify cross-marketing opportunities for PIF initiatives
    • Maintain and update group marketing collateral, credentials, trackers, and BD repositories
    • Coordinate legal directory and awards submissions, gathering inputs from lawyers and stakeholders (including Chambers, Legal 500, and other awards)
    • Conduct client, prospect, industry, and market research; identify trends and opportunities across PIF sub-practices and working groups
    • Support internal BD planning, practice group meetings, and revenue-growth initiatives
    • Act as a key liaison between the Events, Communications, Competitive Intelligence, Marketing Technology, and Creative teams to plan and execute client events, sponsorships, and marketing campaigns from inception through post-event follow-up
    • Use InterAction, Foundation, and other tools to extract client intelligence and relationship data in support of pitches, events, and client planning
    • Track sponsorships, memberships, and partner engagement to maximize ROI
    • Maintain the PIF events tracker and calendar, identifying opportunities for cross-practice engagement and promotion
    • Draft internal communications, meeting notes, and follow-up actions for BD initiatives
    • Support the development and maintenance of shared trackers and distribution lists
    • Assist with budgets, reporting, and post-matter/event follow-up activity
    • Work with the Communications team and relevant office BD teams to publicize significant matters externally and internally
    • Help raise the external profiles of specific PIF sub-practices and individual lawyers through targeted communications and market-facing activity

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 2+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or a client-facing role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
    • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and seniority levels
    • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • High attention to detail and strong client service orientation
    • Experience with CRM and research databases; familiarity with InterAction, Foundation, PitchBook, Preqin, or Capital IQ a plus
    • Experience in private markets, fund formation, or financial services a plus

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).

Proskauer is committed to providing a work environment that includes equal opportunity without regard to race, color, gender, age, creed, sex, religion, national origin, disability (physical or mental), marital status, citizenship, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, or any other legally protected status.

Any personal data shared with us will be processed in accordance with our Prospective Personnel Data Protection Notice which can be found at https://www.proskauer.com/privacy-policy/prospective-personnel-data-protection-notice-london.
