How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    Asset Management – Investment Operations Middle Office, Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting Associate – 12-month FTC - (Equities & Private Equity: Graduate level, or some Operations/ Fund Administration exp)


    Martis Search are representing a West End based, but global Asset Management company to hire a “Asset Management – Investment Operations Middle Office, Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting Associate” to join their Investment Operations Middle Office for a 12-month FTC.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an established, but growing West End based Institutional Asset Manager.


    Our client is looking for a “Asset Management – Investment Operations Middle Office, Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting Associate” and the role reports into their Head of Investment Operations Middle Office & Fund Accounting, so it is an excellent opportunity to learn not just from the Head of Operations, but also from other stakeholders in the business, such as senior Operations Managers and other team members. The Head of Operations is very knowledgeable, but also genuinely friendly and approachable too and willing to share their wealth of knowledge to the chosen incumbent.


    The role will involve lots of different very manual processing tasks every day. Over time there will be more automation with their existing OMS, but you need to be able to cope working with manual “Portfolio Administration/ Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting” type tasks.

    There will be a lot of manual Payments processing, Cash Reconciliations and every quarter, you will be working with NAV’s/ Valuations on a range of their different Equity, Private Equity and Fund-of-Funds. Full “on-the-job-training” will be provided.


    Our client is open-minded and is happy to look for:


    1. Either a graduate calibre with x 6-Months - 1-year’s Portfolio Administration/ Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting experience gained from a Financial Services company such as within Asset Management, global Custodian, or Fund Administrator.
    2. Either a graduate calibre (2025/ 2026 graduate with a numerate, or STEM subject) with an amazing attitude and who is looking to gain 1-year’s Investment Operations/ Fund Administration experience within Asset Management/ Financial Services.
    3. A Part-Qualified Fund Accountant with some experience in Portfolio Administration/ Fund Administration/ Fund Accounting experience gained from a Financial Services company such as within Asset Management, global Custodian, or Administrator (and who is happy to do both manual Fund Administration/ Operational duties, as well as the quarterly Fund Accounting/ NAV work.


    In addition, having the ability to be a logical thinker is key, as well as having exemplary communication skills i.e. Confident to approach people at the right time, to pick up the phone and speak to senior Operations Managers, as well as approaching senior people/ Fund Managers face-to-face to get information without having been told to.


    Our client is also looking for someone who has a willingness to learn and does not think that any type of work related task is beneath them.

    Compensation:
