How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an Architectural Technologist looking to develop your career with one of the UK's leading AJ100 architectural practices?

Our client is seeking a talented Architectural Technologist with approximately 2-5 years' post qualification experience to join their growing Leeds studio. With a substantial pipeline of education projects already secured, this is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of technically challenging schemes spanning primary, secondary, SEN, further and higher education.

Previous education sector experience would certainly be advantageous, however it isn't essential. The practice is keen to speak with ambitious Technologists from a range of sectors who possess strong technical capabilities and are looking to develop their expertise within one of the UK's most rewarding project sectors.

    The Opportunity

Joining an established education team, you'll play an important role in the technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion, producing high-quality technical information and collaborating with Architects, Consultants and Contractors to deliver outstanding learning environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their technical expertise, work on large-scale, complex projects and build a long-term career within a highly respected architectural practice.

Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, your responsibilities will include:

Producing detailed technical drawing packages using Revit.

Assisting with the delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages.

Developing coordinated technical solutions that satisfy planning, Building Regulations and client requirements.

Preparing and reviewing technical information to a consistently high standard.

Coordinating with Architects, Engineers and external Consultants.

Supporting client meetings and multidisciplinary design team workshops.

Contributing to BIM workflows and collaborative project delivery.

Assisting with project administration and technical coordination throughout the construction process.

Helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

We're keen to speak with Architectural Technologists who can demonstrate:

Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification.

Approximately 2-5 years' UK industry experience.

Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.

Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.

Excellent technical drawing and coordination skills.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively within a team environment.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

The following would also be advantageous:

MCIAT status or working towards Chartership.

    Experience using NBS software.

Previous project-running or project administration experience.

Education sector project experience (although this is not essential).

    What's on Offer

    £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.

    Excellent benefits package.

    Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

    Continued Professional Development (CPD) programme.

Opportunity to work on nationally recognised education projects.

Genuine career progression within an established AJ100 practice.

Collaborative, supportive and design-focused studio environment.

If you're looking to join a practice that will invest in your development whilst offering exposure to some of the UK's most exciting education projects, we'd love to hear from you.
