How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Freelance Contract Manager / Contract Administrator

    Location: Old Oak Common Station, London
    Rate: £550-£600 per day (Ltd Company)
    Duration: Long-term Contract

    Freelance Contract Manager / Contract Administrator - Major HS2 Infrastructure Project

    We are recruiting for an experienced Contract Manager / Contract Administrator to join a leading specialist contractor delivering the £350 million cladding and structural steel package on the landmark HS2 Old Oak Common Station project.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest infrastructure schemes, working on a high-profile package within a collaborative project team. The role offers a long-term contract for an experienced professional with strong NEC contract expertise.

    This position would also suit an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in NEC contracts who is looking to focus on contract management and administration on a major project.

    The Role

    Working closely with the commercial and project leadership teams, you will be responsible for managing the contractual aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and supporting the successful commercial delivery of the works.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administer NEC contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
    Manage contractual notices, communications and compliance.
    Support the management of compensation events, early warnings and change control.
    Prepare and review contractual correspondence.
    Identify and manage contractual risks and opportunities.
    Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
    Provide contractual advice to project and commercial teams.
    Liaise with the client, consultants and subcontractors on contractual matters.
    Support dispute avoidance through proactive contract management.

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Contract Manager, Contract Administrator, Commercial Manager or similar role.
    Strong practical knowledge of NEC contracts is essential.
    Previous experience on major construction, infrastructure, rail or engineering projects.
    Excellent contract administration and commercial management skills.
    Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    Able to work independently within a fast-paced project environment.
