How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    £50,998 rising to £56,998 + Quarterly Bonus + Private Medical

    Sheffield

    Panama Days & Nights (12-Hour Shifts)

    Looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer role where you'll be challenged, trusted, and genuinely valued?

    This is an opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing business operating some of the most technically advanced equipment in the UK. You'll be responsible for maintaining and fault-finding on a wide range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, helping keep a complex production operation running safely and efficiently.

    The Role - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    * Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a large manufacturing facility

    * Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production equipment

    * Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

    * Supporting the development and improvement of preventative maintenance schedules

    * Using CMMS systems to record maintenance activities and work orders

    * Identifying and ordering critical spare parts

    * Working alongside specialist OEM engineers when required

    * Supporting continuous improvement activities across the site

    * Ensuring high standards of safety, quality and engineering workmanship at all times

    What We're Looking For

    * Experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer

    * Strong electrical fault-finding abilities within an industrial or manufacturing environment

    * Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings

    * Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment

    * Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification preferred

    * Good communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance

    * Mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous

    This role would suit engineers from manufacturing, steel, foundry, FMCG, chemicals, recycling, power generation, paper, glass, cement or other heavy industrial environments.
