How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager – Southampton (Fit Out / Internals)

    Multi-Rise Residential Project (circa £10m)

    Negotiable Salary - Freelance or Permanent

    My client operate as a main contractor and specialist subcontractor, they are currently seeking x2 Fit Out Site Managers to lead the delivery of a multi-rise residential scheme in Southampton, valued at up to £10 million.

    Role Overview

    You will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project progresses smoothly through the fit-out stages to completion. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage H&S standards, maintain progress against programme, and ensure all works meet strict quality benchmarks.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage all on-site construction activities from fit-out to handover

    * Lead subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and sequencing

    * Uphold the highest health & safety standards and maintain site records

    * Monitor progress, report to senior leadership, and drive programme timelines

    * Ensure quality control throughout all phases of the residential fit-out

    * Build strong working relationships with consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders

    Requirements

    * Proven experience in multi-rise residential construction, particularly during fit-out stages

    * Strong understanding of high-quality delivery and programme management

    * Excellent leadership and communication skills

    * Ability to resolve site issues proactively and maintain a safe working environment

    * Up-to-date site certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid as a minimum)
