How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering major industrial or infrastructure projects valued at £200m+?

    Our client is a market-leading Tier 1 contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering some of the UK's most complex industrial and logistics developments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a high-calibre Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a flagship industrial project in the London/Berkshire region.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of the project from tender through to final handover, leading the site delivery team and ensuring the successful execution of a fast-paced, technically challenging heavy civil engineering package.

    You will be responsible for:

    Leading and managing the full site team throughout the project lifecycle.
    Driving programme, quality, safety, and commercial performance.
    Managing major heavy earthworks, groundworks, foundations, and structural steel frame packages.
    Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders.
    Ensuring exceptional Health & Safety standards across the project.
    Maintaining quality assurance and technical compliance.
    Identifying and mitigating project risks while keeping delivery on programme and within budget.
    Building a high-performing site culture focused on collaboration and excellence.

    About You

    We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager who thrives in a fast-moving environment and has experience delivering complex industrial or civil engineering projects.

    You will ideally have:

    Proven experience managing major projects valued around £200m or more.
    Strong experience delivering industrial, logistics, manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure developments.
    Extensive knowledge of structural steel frame construction.
    A background in Civil Engineering or Engineering (degree qualified preferred).
    Hands-on experience managing heavy civil engineering, earthworks, and groundworks packages.
    Excellent leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary site teams.
    A strong understanding of Health & Safety, quality management, and programme delivery.
    The confidence to build relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
