How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work from September?

    Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a range of mainstream and specialist schools across Kettering and is looking to recruit dedicated SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. We have opportunities available to suit your lifestyle, including long-term positions, short-term contracts and day-to-day supply.

    As an SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

    Your role will include:

    Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
    Working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
    Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and other additional needs.
    Using a variety of communication and intervention strategies, including PECS, Makaton, visual timetables and sensory approaches where appropriate.
    Promoting positive behaviour through consistent behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
    Assisting with personal care where required.
    Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

    We are looking for candidates who:

    Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or have relevant SEN support experience.
    Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
    Are patient, caring and adaptable.
    Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
