Legal Counsel (Funds) | London
A fast-growing global investment platform is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join its EMEA legal team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a funds lawyer looking to move into a highly commercial, international in-house role within a business operating at the forefront of private markets and alternative investments.
Working closely with legal, product, structuring, compliance and distribution teams across EMEA, you will support the launch, structuring and distribution of private fund products and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of legal agreements with leading fund managers, distributors and other counterparties
- Reviewing and negotiating fund documentation, including offering materials, partnership agreements, side letters and placement agreements
- Advising on fund formation, distribution and marketing activities across multiple jurisdictions
- Working alongside external counsel on regulatory, corporate and investment-related matters
- Supporting the development and launch of new products, structures and strategic initiatives
- Leading legal projects and contributing to broader business growth initiatives
About you:
- Qualified lawyer in the UK, Luxembourg or another relevant jurisdiction
- Approximately 2-5 years' PQE with strong funds experience gained in private practice or in-house
- Experience advising on private equity, hedge funds or broader alternative investment products
- Familiarity with Luxembourg fund structures and cross-border distribution arrangements
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders
- Keen to join a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
