How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Commercial Litigation Partner | Prestigious West End Platform | High-Calibre Private Client & Corporate Work

If you're a Commercial Litigation Partner looking for a platform that combines high-quality disputes with a collaborative culture and exceptional client relationships, this is an opportunity to join one of the West End's most respected firms.

Whether your practice is built around HNW individuals, entrepreneurs, family businesses or corporate clients, you'll be joining a firm where litigation is viewed as a core strategic offering and where partners are encouraged to build long-term client relationships rather than simply maximise short-term billing.

    The Firm

This highly regarded West End law firm has been advising private clients, businesses and entrepreneurs for over 170 years and has built an enviable reputation for combining premium work with a highly collegiate culture.

The client base is diverse and sophisticated, encompassing HNW and UHNW individuals, family offices, owner-managed businesses, international clients and established corporates. Many relationships span generations, resulting in a strong flow of repeat instructions and opportunities for cross-referrals across the firm's private client, property and corporate teams.

Unlike larger institutional practices, the firm maintains a genuinely collaborative and non-hierarchical culture. Partners work closely together, creating an environment where new joiners are able to integrate quickly and leverage the strength of the wider platform.

    The Role

You will join an established disputes practice, advising clients across a broad range of commercial litigation matters. Typical work includes shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, partnership issues, professional negligence claims and wider business-related conflicts involving private individuals, companies and entrepreneurs.

The role offers significant autonomy and direct client contact, allowing you to further develop your practice while benefiting from the firm's strong reputation and existing client relationships.

The wider partnership is highly supportive of cross-referrals, and there is a clear appreciation that successful lateral hires require the right environment to thrive. As such, you will have the freedom to continue developing your own client relationships while benefiting from introductions and opportunities generated across the wider firm.

For lawyers with an entrepreneurial approach, this presents an opportunity to become part of a close-knit partnership where contribution, collaboration and long-term relationship building are valued equally.

    The Candidate

    • Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in commercial litigation
    • Currently operating at Partner level, or a Legal Director seeking a first partnership opportunity
    • Strong track record advising businesses, HNW individuals, entrepreneurs or family offices
    • Experience handling complex and high-value disputes
    • Commercially minded with strong client relationship skills
    • Demonstrable business development capability
    • Collaborative approach and desire to be part of a close-knit partnership

    What’s On Offer

    • A highly respected West End platform with a strong reputation in commercial litigation
    • Access to a sophisticated and loyal client network
    • Highly competitive salary and wider package
    • Flexible working pattern in terms of time and location
    • Strong internal referral opportunities across private client, property and corporate teams
    • A genuinely collegiate and supportive partnership
    • High-quality, varied commercial litigation work
    • Flexibility and autonomy to continue building your practice

This is an opportunity to join a firm where relationships, quality and collaboration remain at the heart of the business, offering an excellent platform for an established Commercial Litigation Partner to continue growing their practice.
