Senior Associate – Insurance Corporate, Commercial & Regulatory

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Associate to join a highly regarded specialist insurance practice in the City of London.
This role sits within a market-leading team advising a broad range of clients across the insurance and reinsurance sector, including insurers, reinsurers, brokers, intermediaries, investors, and emerging market entrants. The team is recognised for its expertise in complex corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters across the London and international insurance markets.
The Opportunity
You will work on a varied mix of:
- Corporate transactions involving insurance and financial services businesses
- Commercial agreements and strategic partnerships
- Insurance regulatory and compliance matters
- Domestic and cross-border transactions
- Advisory work for established market participants and innovative start-ups
The role offers significant client exposure, early responsibility, and the opportunity to work alongside recognised experts in the insurance sector.
About You
You will ideally have:
- 4–6 years’ PQE as an England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent in-house experience)
- Experience across corporate, commercial and/or insurance regulatory matters
- Exposure to financial services clients, ideally within the insurance sector
- Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
- Confidence managing workstreams and client relationships independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A collaborative approach with an interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
- Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development activities
