How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Milton Keynes & Daventry
    Up to £50,000

    Do you want to work for a company who supply into the F1 industry? Work on brand new lathes within a modern workshop? Do you want to be challenged and improve your machining skills on a daily basis? If you answered yes to any of these, you need to read on.....

    The Company;

    They are a small, yet established sub con where you can expect their workshop to be immaculate. With modern milling and turning machines which are used to supply mainly into the F1 industry and high-end automotive industries. They run an open-door policy and you can expect team meetings where suggestions are able to be made.

    They have multiple sites and are looking for a CNC Turner at both their Milton Keynes and Daventry sites!

    The Job;

    You will be joining a small turning department, working on brand new Doosan Puma lathes, programming live tooling and operating on fanuc controls. you will make engineering decisions. On a daily basis you can expect to be cutting a variety of jobs, working with aerospace grade materials including Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium and Steel. There may be a small amount of manual turning as well but the main bulk of the work will be on the CNC lathe. You will be working alongside other machinists on a lively shopfloor so it's a great atmosphere!

    Experience;

    Experience on Doosan lathes would be advantageous
    Experienced with programming Fanuc & live tooling (Y-Axis)
    Set tooling and operated lathes with Fanuc controls
