How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Responsible Procurement & Supplier Risk Lead

Location: London (3 days per week in the office)

    Salary: £120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

My client is seeking an experienced Responsible Procurement & Supplier Risk Lead to drive and embed a best-in-class supplier risk, ESG and responsible procurement programme across a global organisation.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Procurement, Sustainability, Compliance and Risk. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape policy, influence senior stakeholders and drive meaningful change across a complex international supply base.

    The Role

Reporting into Procurement Leadership, you will be responsible for designing and embedding supplier risk, ESG and governance frameworks, ensuring robust supplier due diligence and compliance across the organisation.

You will play a key role in strengthening supplier oversight, improving ESG performance and delivering a consistent risk-based approach to supplier management across all regions and categories. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Sustainability, Legal and Compliance, you will help shape the organisation's responsible procurement agenda.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the Responsible Procurement and Supplier Risk agenda.

    • Design and maintain supplier risk frameworks, including supplier segmentation by risk, category and geography.

    • Lead supplier due diligence programmes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    • Develop and oversee corrective action plans for identified supplier risks.

    • Enhance supplier ESG assessment frameworks, including third-party sustainability assessments and supplier self-assessment programmes.

    • Drive ESG evaluations across strategic and high-risk supplier categories.

    • Develop and deploy responsible procurement policies and governance frameworks.

    • Improve visibility and oversight of strategic suppliers, critical suppliers and wider supply chains.

    • Lead supplier audit programmes and governance reviews across high-risk categories.

    About You

    • Experience within Procurement, Supplier Risk, ESG, Responsible Sourcing, Sustainability or Supplier Governance.

    • Strong understanding of supplier risk management, human rights frameworks and responsible procurement principles.

    • Experience working with ESG assessment platforms such as EcoVadis, SA8000 or similar frameworks.

    • Proven track record of implementing supplier governance, risk or compliance programmes.

    • Experience operating within complex global supply chains.

    • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.

    • Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.

    • Ability to lead change, shape strategy and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced procurement, supplier risk or ESG leader looking to drive meaningful change and make a lasting impact across a global organisation while owning a critical and high-profile business agenda.
