This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Science Teacher to join a successful Science department in a full-time, permanent position, teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE.
The Role
* Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE (Key Stage 4).
* Inspire students to develop curiosity, scientific thinking and a strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
* Prepare students for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
* Assess, monitor and report on student progress, using assessment to inform planning and targeted intervention.
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of all abilities, including those with SEND and high prior attainment.
* Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where high expectations are maintained.
* Contribute to curriculum development and the continued success of the Science department.
* Participate fully in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, school events and wider school life.
* Maintain high expectations of behaviour, attendance and achievement in line with school policies.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the Science Teacher team continues to deliver high-quality learning experiences for students.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge with the ability to teach GCSE Science.
* A specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics is welcomed.
* A passion for inspiring young people to develop confidence and enjoyment in Science.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
