How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    BSL Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
    Primary School – Lambeth, SW2
    Start Date: September 2026
    Pay: £108.35 per day
    Interviews: Next week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)
    About the Role A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth (SW2) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate BSL Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
    This is a rewarding 1:1 support role working closely with a deaf and speech-impaired pupil who uses British Sign Language (BSL) as their primary method of communication. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child access learning, engage with classroom activities, and participate fully in school life.
    Key Responsibilities
    Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil who is deaf and speech impaired.
    Use British Sign Language (BSL) to support communication between the pupil, teaching staff, and peers.
    Adapt learning activities where necessary to ensure the pupil can fully access the curriculum.
    Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.
    Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff.
    Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in the classroom.The Ideal Candidate
    Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
    BSL Level 1 qualification or above is highly desirable.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.
    Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
