A leading international law firm with a highly regarded asset finance practice is seeking a talented mid-level associate to join its London team.
The team advises a broad range of banks, lessors, financial institutions, airlines, leasing companies and corporate borrowers on complex, cross-border financing transactions. The practice is particularly recognised for its expertise in aviation finance, while also handling a diverse range of structured and asset-backed financing matters across multiple sectors.
The Role
You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a wide variety of sophisticated financing transactions, including:
- Aviation finance and leasing transactions, acting for lenders, lessors and airlines
- Cross-border secured and unsecured financing arrangements
- Operating leases, finance leases and sale-and-leaseback transactions
- Portfolio acquisitions, restructurings and asset-backed financings
- General corporate lending and structured finance matters involving high-value assets
The role offers significant client exposure, responsibility from an early stage, and the opportunity to work on high-profile international transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified
- 3–7 years' PQE (guideline only; strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
- Trained and qualified at a leading City, US or international law firm
- Strong asset finance experience, ideally with exposure to aviation finance and leasing transactions
- Excellent technical drafting and transactional skills
- Strong academic background
- Commercially minded, proactive and capable of managing workstreams with increasing autonomy
- Comfortable working directly with clients and international counterparties
