How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Enko Capital Management LLP, a FCA-regulated investment firm, is part of the Enko Capital Group. Enko Capital is an elite, award-winning boutique asset management firm that focusses its investment strategies across the African continent. The group has offices and operations in London, Mauritius, South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, and Rwanda. The group currently manages over $1.6 billion in debt, private debt, equity and private equity investments across the continent.

Enko currently seeks a versatile and proactive bilingual (English and French) HR professional to join our expanding asset management firm. This standalone role blends advisory and operational HR functions, working closely with senior leadership (COO) to support our UK and international workforce. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of UK employment law, excellent organizational skills, the ability to liaise confidently with local authorities across African jurisdictions, ensure compliance with local requirements, and constructively engage with employees in the UK and the other jurisdictions.

The position will initially begin as a contract role with the expectation that the individual's success will transition the role into a full-time role. Enko may be willing to sponsor the UK work visa in select and limited circumstances.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on UK employment law, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy.
    • Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and data protection requirements.
    • Liaise with non-UK authorities and Enko offices across Africa to ensure compliant multi-jurisdictional HR practice.
    • Support recruitment activities as needed, such as coordinating interviews and assisting with onboarding, while the COO leads recruitment processes.
    • Assist with benefits administration and resolve employee HR queries efficiently.
    • Support employee engagement initiatives, training coordination, and performance review cycles.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership on people strategies that support business growth and workforce planning.
    • Provide day-to-day HR support, including maintaining employee records, managing HR documentation, and administering HR systems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
    • Part-qualified or fully CIPD qualified (Level 3 or 5 preferred).

    Experience & Requirements

    • 5-7 years of experience in HR generalist, advisory, ideally in financial services, corporate, or commercial sectors.
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR operations.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
    • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders and external authorities.

    Required Skills:

    • Fluent in English AND French
    • Proficient in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and HR digital tools.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines

    Key Attributes

    • Professional integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
    • Autonomous, solution-oriented with a proactive mindset.
    • Flexibility and resilience to adapt in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
    • Interest in multi-country HR management and cultural adaptability
    • Comfortable operating independently in a standalone capacity, balancing operational administration with advisory support.

    Compensation

    • Base salary
    • Discretionary Bonus
    • Private medical insurance
