How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Real Estate Lawyer - Energy | International Law Firm | City of London

A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a talented Senior Associate to join its top-tier Real Estate Energy & Infrastructure team in London.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer to play a central role in some of the most significant energy and infrastructure projects in the UK. You will advise on high-profile developments that are critical to the UK’s transition to net zero, including renewable energy, transport and major infrastructure schemes.

If you are a commercially minded real estate solicitor with a genuine interest in the energy transition and complex development work, this role offers exceptional quality work, strong career progression and the chance to be part of a collaborative, market-leading team.

    The Opportunity:

You will join a highly regarded practice recognised for its expertise in delivering major energy, renewables and infrastructure projects. The team acts for developers, investors, funders, public sector bodies and landowners on nationally significant matters across a broad range of sectors.

    The work spans:

    - Onshore and offshore wind projects

    - Solar and battery storage developments

    - Hydrogen and carbon capture projects

    - Nuclear and energy-from-waste schemes

    - Heat networks and EV charging infrastructure

    - Airports, ports and transport-related infrastructure

This role offers the chance to work on innovative, often first-of-a-kind projects that are helping shape the future of the UK’s infrastructure landscape.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Advise on the real estate aspects of major energy, renewables and infrastructure projects

    - Draft and negotiate options, leases, development agreements and ancillary project documents

    - Lead title investigations, access arrangements, site assembly and land due diligence

    - Support Development Consent Order (DCO) and Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) projects

    - Work directly with clients and stakeholders on complex, high-value transactions

    - Collaborate with specialists across planning, construction, finance, corporate and regulatory teams

    - Supervise and mentor junior lawyers

    - Build and strengthen client relationships

    - Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice

    About You:

    - Ideally 5+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate

    - Experience in energy, renewables, infrastructure or major development projects

    - Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

    - Strong technical and commercial judgement

    - Confidence managing complex matters and multiple stakeholders

    - A collaborative and proactive approach

    - An interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development

Candidates from a broad range of real estate backgrounds will be considered, particularly those with a genuine interest in the energy and infrastructure sector.

    Why Apply?

This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading team at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition.

    You can expect:

    - Exposure to cutting-edge and nationally significant projects

    - A clear and achievable path for career progression

    - Direct client contact and early responsibility

    - A supportive and collegiate culture

    - High-quality training and ongoing professional development

    - Flexible hybrid working arrangements

If you are a Senior Associate or experienced Real Estate Solicitor seeking to specialise further in the energy and infrastructure sector, this is an excellent opportunity to join one of the leading teams in the market.
