How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Social Strategist- 6 month FTC (temp to perm opportunity)

    About Us

Iris is a global integrated agency driven by one simple philosophy: Participate or Perish. We create ideas that earn attention and inspire people to interact with brands in meaningful ways. Working with some of the world’s most ambitious brands, we combine strategy, creativity, technology, and media to deliver impactful campaigns.

    The job in a nutshell

Every brief you write starts from the same truth: culture has to be earned. The Social Strategist is the person who figures out how — connecting brand objectives to real human behaviour through sharp, insight-led thinking that puts participation at the centre. You don't just track culture. You're in it. And that's what makes the strategy credible.

    Core tasks (expected day-to-day)

    • Strategy development — Set social strategies and content frameworks aligned to client

    objectives and brand positioning.

    • Creative inspiration — Write insight-led briefs that inspire teams with clarity, focus, and

    cultural ambition.

    • Influencer thinking — Bring influencer strategy into briefs — identifying the right creator

voices to amplify brand participation in culture.

    • Measurement planning — Define KPIs, success metrics, and measurement frameworks

    that make the work accountable.

    • Campaign support — Embed social thinking into campaign planning from day one.

    • Cultural intelligence — Track cultural and platform trends to keep strategic

    recommendations grounded in reality.

    • Collaboration — Work closely with account, creative, and production to make strategies

    actionable.

    • Quality control — Ensure all briefs and frameworks are clear, accurate, and consistent

    with best practice.

Stretch Tasks (with support, or to grow into)

    • Client influence — Build confidence presenting and defending strategic

    recommendations directly to clients.

    • Commercial awareness — Understand how strategy contributes to scope and client

    growth.

    • Thought leadership — Contribute to internal POVs and showcases on social and cultural

    expertise.

    • Framework innovation — Experiment with new approaches to social frameworks,

    audiences, and measurement.

    • Cross-team collaboration — Grow into influencing media, PR, and influencer strategies.

    • Mentorship — Share platform knowledge and strategic process with junior team

    members.

    Equal Opportunities

Iris is an advocate for equal opportunity in the workplace. We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability and gender identity. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know.
