Our local authority client is looking for General Operatives/Assistant Gardeners to join their operations team based in York immediately till mid September 2026, on a wide variety of residential sites across York.
The purpose of this role is to carry out (where necessary) gardening and horticultural work/maintenance. For this role, a vehicle, equipment and PPE will be provided. Other duties will include: cutting, pruning, mowing, litter picking, sweeping, weeding, emptying public bins etc.
Previous experience of gardening/horticulture or similar, would be extremely advantageous.
You MUST hold a current full UK driving licence, be used to working outdoors and be physically fit.
This is a full time role, starting asap, Monday - Friday, 37 hours a week. Rates of pay is £13.86 per hour. Lunchtime finish on a Friday.
Onsite inductions will be held asap, so an immediate start is needed.
