How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Position: Maintenance Handyperson
    Location: Liverpool
    Type: Permanent
    Salary: £35,000 PA
    Shift: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 12-hour shifts between 7:00am and 10:00pm (rotating shift times)
    Holiday: 25 days plus statutory
    Call Out: 1 in 6 rota / £150 standby payment - Company van provided whilst on call
    Parking: Free on-site parking
     We are recruiting for a maintenance operative / handyperson to work on a prestigious facility in the Liverpool area completing general fabric maintenance and compliance checks as part of a resident maintenance team.

    Maintenance Handyperson / Fabric Maintenance Role Breakdown:
    Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
    Reactive fabric maintenance
    Fire door inspections
    Water sampling and water flushing
    General decorating and making good
    Porter duties (moving furniture and equipment)
    Creating and removing decking for seasonal events
    Overseeing subcontractors
    General building fabric repairs across the estate
     
    Experience Required:
    Previous experience within Facilities Management or Building Maintenance
    (Joinery, Plumbing, Painting/Decorating)
    Strong all-round fabric maintenance skills
    Experience carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance
    Excellent customer service and communication skills
