A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Corporate Solicitor to join its established in-house legal team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to make their first move in-house and gain exposure to a broad range of corporate, finance and regulatory matters within a highly respected organisation.
Working as part of a collaborative legal team, you will advise on business-critical projects and strategic initiatives, partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation while developing a well-rounded in-house skillset.
The Role
Joining a growing corporate legal team, you will work closely with senior lawyers and business stakeholders, providing commercially focused legal advice across a wide variety of matters.
The role offers significantly broader exposure than a traditional law firm position, making it an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to build a long-term in-house career within a complex and highly regulated environment.
What Will It Involve?
• Advising on a range of corporate, finance and regulatory matters
• Supporting strategic projects and business initiatives across the organisation
• Working closely with stakeholders to provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice
• Assisting with corporate transactions, governance matters and wider legal projects
• Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation
• Supporting the instruction and management of external counsel where required
• Contributing to the development of legal processes, templates and guidance
Who Are They Looking For?
• UK qualified solicitor
• Likely to have between 0–3 years' PQE, although candidates outside of this range will be considered
• Experience gained within a recognised corporate, banking, finance or transactional practice
• Strong technical foundations combined with a commercial and pragmatic approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• An interest in developing a long-term in-house career
• Experience within financial services is beneficial but not essential
