How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A prestigious law firm is looking for an experienced Conflicts Advisor to join its Risk & Compliance team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a conflicts professional looking to join a collaborative and supportive environment that offers an excellent work-life balance and hybrid flexibility.

Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Advisor role:

    • Act as a senior point of contact for conflicts and new business intake matters, partnering closely with the Conflicts Manager to ensure the effective management of the firm's conflicts function.
    • Review and analyse complex conflicts of interest issues arising from new client and matter openings, lateral hires, corporate transactions, and strategic firm initiatives.
    • Provide expert guidance and commercially focused recommendations to partners, senior lawyers, and business services stakeholders on conflicts, confidentiality, and professional responsibility issues.
    • Support the Conflicts Manager in assessing and resolving high-risk and sensitive conflicts matters, identifying practical solutions that balance regulatory obligations with commercial objectives.
    • Lead discussions with partners and key stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of complex conflicts issues and obtain the necessary approvals.
    • Act as an escalation point and mentor for Conflicts Analysts and junior team members, providing technical guidance, training, and support on complex conflicts matters.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Previous experience working within a conflicts, business intake, new business, or risk and compliance function within a law firm.
    • Strong understanding of conflicts of interest principles and professional conduct requirements within a legal environment.
    • Experience in using Intapp is essential.

This role would suit an experienced Senior Conflicts Analyst looking to take the next step in their career, or an established Conflicts Advisor looking for a new challenge within a leading international firm.
