How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of People to play a key role in shaping and delivering the people strategy across a complex, multi-country business environment.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, providing expert guidance across employee relations, organisational change, talent planning, culture, engagement, and leadership development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with senior business leaders to translate business strategy into practical people plans and initiatives.
    • Ensure people priorities are aligned with organisational goals, operating models, and broader regional people strategies.
    • Lead organisational change, transformation, and restructuring initiatives, ensuring effective communication and employee engagement throughout.
    • Manage relationships with employee representative bodies, including works councils, trade unions, and other employee forums where applicable.
    • Develop and implement initiatives that strengthen organisational culture and employee experience.
    • Partner with leaders to assess and enhance engagement, collaboration, and organisational effectiveness.
    • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.
    • Provide expert guidance on people policies, employment practices, employee relations matters, and regulatory requirements.

    Role profile

    • You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong track record of partnering with senior leaders in complex, international organisations.
    • Experience working within matrix organisations and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
    • Must have prior experience within the Logistics / Facilities / Manufacturing / Industrial sectors.
    • Proven team leadership (management of a team of at least 5 employees, ideally within multiple regions).
    • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices across multiple countries.
    • Experience working with trade unions, works councils, or employee representative bodies.
    • Demonstrated success leading organisational change, transformation, and restructuring programmes.
    • Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders.
    • Experience leading and developing teams within a fast-paced environment.

    What's on offer?

    • A competitive base salary (£110,000-£130,000 dependent on experience)
    • Generous benefits package (bonus, PMI, enhanced pension etc)
    • Hybrid work pattern (3 days per week in London, some international travel will be required)
    • Opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders (highly visible role)
    • Clear progression opportunities

This role is ideal for a proven Head of People that has worked for a large business with an international reach. You must have experience from within a "blue collar" environment, and are used to working in a fast paced, change focused organisation.
