How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Senior Quantity Surveyor's Role

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will join a progressive, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy in Central London, working within a well-established cost management team that is continuing to grow.

This is a standout opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants more than routine project delivery. The role offers the chance to work closely with clients, influence key commercial decisions, and take real ownership across a broad range of London-based schemes.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be involved in a varied project portfolio, including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, regeneration, mixed-use, and public sector developments. The consultancy offers a collaborative environment where Quantity Surveyors are trusted, supported, and given the space to progress.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also mentor junior team members, attend client meetings, and work closely with senior leadership on larger instructions. This role would suit a confident Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for autonomy, strong project variety, and a clear route towards Associate level.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying, or a RICS-accredited equivalent
    MRICS, or working towards chartership
Strong Quantity Surveying / cost consultancy experience
Excellent pre and post contract knowledge
Experience delivering projects from inception to completion
    Confident with JCT contracts
    Professional, commercially aware, and client-facing
Able to commute to Central London

    In Return?

    £65,000 - £80,000
    Discretionary bonus
    Hybrid/flexible working
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
    Pension scheme
    Private healthcare
    Life assurance
    Professional fees paid
    Ongoing CPD and training
    Clear route to Associate
    Supportive senior leadership
    Varied London projects

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking more responsibility, stronger client exposure, and genuine progression within a respected Central London consultancy.

If you are a Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, then please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.
