Academic Appointments is looking for passionate and reliable Primary Teachers to join our supply team, supporting a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools. We have opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with work available on both a day-to-day and long-term basis.
As a Supply Teacher, you'll play an important role in maintaining continuity in pupils' learning while creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
The Role
You'll work in a range of primary schools, delivering high-quality lessons and quickly building positive relationships with pupils and staff. Whether you're covering planned absences or taking on a longer-term position, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can succeed.
* Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage positive attitudes to learning.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress where required.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
* Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
* Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Previous experience teaching within UK primary schools.
* Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A flexible, adaptable and professional approach.
* The ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff.
* A genuine passion for helping children learn and achieve.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
* Able to get recent references from teaching placements
