Hours: Mon-Fri (Day Shift)
GPS Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced and driven Logistics Manager to join a successful manufacturing business in Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can develop people, improve warehouse and logistics performance, drive cost savings, and create a culture of continuous improvement. Safety will be your number one priority whilst ensuring materials and products flow efficiently through the business to support production and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the warehouse and logistics team.
• Drive a strong behavioural safety culture.
• Manage goods-in, goods-out, storage, inventory and internal material movements.
• Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management.
• Deliver key logistics KPIs including OTIF, cost control and warehouse efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support production through effective material planning and movement.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching and team development.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards.
About You
• Previous experience in a Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role.
• Manufacturing or engineering environment experience essential.
• Proven track record of improving warehouse processes and efficiencies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Commercially aware with a focus on cost reduction and operational performance.
• FLT Licence desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
