An opportunity has opened for a Senior Food Buyer to join a supplier company based in West Drayton, West London. The ideal candidate will have an excellent background within purchasing or buying and will have experience including sourcing of high quality food items like seafood and fish.
Senior Food Buyer Key Skills:
* Experience within purchasing or as a buyer or similar
* Experience within the food industry – ideally seafood or fish
* Strong negotiation experience and communication
* Excellent knowledge of sources and suppliers
* Pricing, margins and budgets experience
* ERP system experience to keep things updated
Senior Food Buyer Responsibilities:
* Source and purchase food products from reliable suppliers
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Negotiate contracts and find the best price points for particular items
* Update the ERP system with stock levels, prices etc
* Keep up to date with markets including shortages and wastage
* Liaise with the technical and quality teams
