How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    POST: Support Manager – Neurodevelopmental and Complex Care Service

    RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Service – Neurodevelopmental and Complex Care Service

    Purpose of Post

    To assess the care needs for clients with neurodevelopmental needs.To formulate, implement and evaluate packages of care in partnership with clients, families, and support workers. Providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

    Create positive outcomes in people’s lives, while effectively managing, engaging, and promoting best practice to a remote team of Support Workers.

    To share knowledge, participate in training and join the network of other Neurodevelopmental Support Managers. Ensuring an elevated level of compliance to SweetTree’s Quality Assurance markers and playing a key role in ensuring relevant company KPI’s are met.

    Responsibilities

    ✨ Manage a client case load of varying complexity, ensuring a high-quality, client-centred approach is delivered with an emphasis on goal attainment and quality of life for individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

    ✨ Conduct thorough needs assessments, including risk assessments, and prepare care and support plans, ensuring they are regularly updated to reflect each client’s individual needs.

    ✨ Responsible for carrying out regular client reviews, daily support record audits, and ensuring support plans are in place and compliant with company policy.

    ✨ Responsible for on-boarding new clients with exceptional attention, introducing support workers, promoting best practice, and regularly reviewing all aspects of a new client’s support to ensure ongoing care package stability.

    ✨ Responsible for managing aligned assistant support managers and coordinators for the assigned client group, as required.

    ✨ Actively participate in the recruitment of support workers.

    ✨ Deliver and support training for new and existing support workers to ensure high-quality care and support for all clients.

    ✨ Prepare, attend, and engage in regular support worker supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews, both accepting and providing constructive feedback.

    ✨ Ensure continuity of service provision at all times.

    ✨ Accountable for KPIs relating to relevant identified areas within the business.

    ✨ Work collaboratively with the team to develop and participate in the marketing and networking of the service.

    ✨ Participate in the Emergency Out-of-Hours/On-Call rota.

    ✨ Attend conferences, workshops, and key stakeholder events, sharing knowledge gained and supporting the training of support workers.

    ✨ Work collaboratively with all members of the Neurodevelopmental team to promote a cohesive and positive work environment.

    Office Responsibilities

    ✨ Be responsible for taking Neurodevelopmental referrals and enquiries. Logging information, giving advice and following up on enquiries and referrals as appropriate.

    ✨ To actively answer telephone calls and take messages in the SweetTree office.

    ✨To ensure data inputted into One Touch is accurate and up to date for both client invoices and support worker payments.

    ✨ To attend regular SweetTree meetings and Neurodevelopmental Service meetings.

    ✨To participate in training courses/seminars held internally and by outside agencies.

    Skills and Experience

    Essential:

    ✅Ability to communicate confidently with key stakeholders, negotiate flexibly within the role, can get up and go, run with things

    ✅Experience working with people who have neurodevelopmental disorder in the community.

    ✅At least 12 months experience of undertaking assessments and reviews and understanding of the needs of people who have a neurodevelopmental disorder and/or require complex care.

    ✅Experience working with families and other key stakeholders is a key component of this role as is sound decision making and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied case load.

    ✅Excellent organisational skills and a thorough approach to work.

    ✅A calm and methodical approach with acute attention to detail.

    ✅Ability to work autonomously and productively as part of a team.

    ✅Knowledge of legislation relevant to the sector including capacity and consent.

    ✅Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully at different levels, both verbally and in writing.

    ✅An understanding of the challenges faced by Support Workers.

    ✅Ability to travel to and from Client assessments, reviews, support worker facilitation's, spot checks and observations etc.

    ✅An understanding of the psychological, physical, cognitive, emotional changes and challenges that a case load of this type entails.

    ✅Experience of working positively in a diverse environment

    ✅Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

    Desirable:

    ✅A relevant professional qualification such as social work, occupational therapy, psychology, speech and language therapy or nursing etc.

    ✅Driver with a clean licence.
