How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a key role within the Technical function, responsible for maintaining and developing the site's Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with customer, legal and food safety requirements.
Working closely with operational and technical teams, you'll drive continuous improvement, lead audit readiness and play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest quality standards across the site.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Manage and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
    * Ensure compliance with customer standards, legal requirements and GFSI-recognised standards such as IFS or BRCGS.
    * Lead preparation for third-party, customer and regulatory audits, ensuring successful outcomes.
    * Conduct internal audits and GMP inspections, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    * Manage controlled documentation, non-conformance and complaints systems.
    * Analyse quality data and trends to identify risks and implement effective corrective actions.
    * Coordinate traceability exercises, product recalls and crisis management testing.
    * Support HACCP reviews, validation activities and food safety initiatives.
    * Develop and deliver technical training across the business.
    * Build strong working relationships across Production, Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain to promote a positive food safety culture.
    * Act as the key contact for customer technical queries and deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
    About You
We're looking for an experienced technical professional with a background in food manufacturing who enjoys improving systems, influencing stakeholders and driving high standards.
    You'll ideally have:
    * Previous experience in a Technical Systems, Quality Systems or Technical Compliance role within food manufacturing.
    * Excellent knowledge of BRCGS, IFS or equivalent GFSI standards.
    * HACCP Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
    * Internal Auditor qualification, with Lead Auditor experience desirable.
    * Experience managing customer, third-party and regulatory audits.
    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    * Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
    * Experience using Quality Management Systems and document control systems.
    * A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
    What's on Offer?
    * Opportunity to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business.
    * A varied role with genuine ownership of the site's technical systems.
    * High level of autonomy and visibility across the business.
    * The chance to influence continuous improvement and food safety culture.
    * Career development opportunities within a large manufacturing organisation
