How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electronics Design Engineer
    Great Yarmouth, Norfolk | Hybrid Working Available | £55,000 - £65,000 | Relocation Assistance Available
    Still designing the same products, fixing the same issues and waiting for someone else to make the decisions?
    If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence product development and see your ideas become real-world products, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
    You'll join an established engineering business that designs and manufactures specialist electronic systems used in some of the world's most demanding subsea and offshore environments. This isn't high-volume consumer electronics or consultancy work. It's engineering-led product development where reliability, innovation and problem solving genuinely matter.
    You'll be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and circuit design through to testing, manufacture and continuous product improvement.
    The Role
    Working as part of a highly experienced design team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects while collaborating with other engineers on the development of new and existing products.
    You'll be responsible for:
    * Designing analogue and digital electronic circuits
    * PCB design, simulation and layout
    * Developing embedded electronic systems using MCU and PIC devices
    * Building and testing prototypes
    * Fault finding and validating products before manufacture
    * Producing technical documentation within an ISO 9001 environment
    * Supporting continuous product development from concept through to production
    This is a varied engineering role where no two projects are the same, giving you the opportunity to work on technically challenging products rather than making incremental changes to existing designs.
    About You
    You'll probably have experience in most of the following:
    * Electronic circuit design
    * PCB layout and schematic capture
    * Embedded electronics
    * MCU or PIC programming
    * Product testing and fault finding
    You'll also be comfortable working within a collaborative engineering environment where ideas are shared, problems are solved together and quality matters more than speed.
    Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
    * RF design
    * Analogue electronics
    * DSP or FPGA development
    * C or C#
    * Underwater acoustic systems
    * A strong mathematical or physics background
    Why Join?
    Most Electronics Design Engineer roles promise "interesting projects."
    This one offers the chance to work on products that are designed, manufactured and supplied globally, giving you the opportunity to see your work move beyond the design stage and into real-world applications.
    You'll join a stable engineering business where product development remains at the heart of what they do, giving you genuine technical ownership rather than limiting you to one small part of the design process.
    What's on Offer
    * £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
    * Hybrid working available
    * Private healthcare
    * Genuine ownership of product development
    * Work across the full design lifecycle from concept to manufacture
    * Exposure to specialist electronic products used around the world
    * Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
    * Potential temporary accommodation available just 10 minutes from the office
    * Long-term career development within a stable engineering business
    If you're an Electronics Design Engineer looking for more technical variety, greater ownership and the opportunity to develop products that solve real engineering challenges, we'd like to hear from you
