How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product category within the industry, supplying UK Retailers with the best fresh produce from Worldwide Growers. Due to continued success, we are delighted to offer the opportunity of Supply Chain Coordinator to join the team.

    Working as part of a dedicated team to ensure the smooth supply of Fresh Produce across 7 days a week, the position of Supply Chain Coordinator will report to the Supply Chain Manager will work closely with Procurement and Commercial colleagues becoming fundamental in the success of fresh produce product supply to key retail customers.

    The role is 40 hours per week and the shift will span 8 hours per day between 06.00 – 18.00.

    The role would also involve covering weekends on a rota basis. However, this time can be taken back using TOIL.

    * Manage product storage, inventory, packing & distribution.

    * Responsible for administering inventory ordering, procurement and supporting profitability.

    * Helping maintain customer forecasts ensuring forecast accuracy whilst keeping an accurate record of the inventory.

    * Communicate and maintain the coordinated sourcing mission and strategy.

    * Work closely with the sales / supply chain teams to ensure all sales volumes are supplied and pre-planned accounting for any external factors such as vessel changes.

    * Work closely with the Warehouse team to manage stock arrivals and the safe storage of stock

    We require;
    Previous experience within a similar key support role, with exposure to stock Management systems or ERP, examples Prophet
    Stock Planning and Supply Chain experience within Fresh Produce is ideal
    Attention to detail, with excellent IT and numeracy skills; Microsoft, Excel
    Confident ability to work with all colleagues at all levels positively
