How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A leading engineering‑focused manufacturer is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to drive multiple electrical development and improvement projects from concept through to completion. If you enjoy owning complex technical challenges, influencing stakeholders, and delivering high‑impact engineering solutions, this role will suit you.

You will act as a subject‑matter expert for electrical and automation across a 24/7 high volume manufacturing site. You will mentor maintenance teams, and ensure projects land on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The role covers everything from engineering development of existing machines and systems (including PLCs, drives and invertors) to being the main point of contact both internally and externally on all project issues.

    What you’ll be doing

    * Lead and deliver electrical engineering projects — from small improvements to major capex initiatives.

    * Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors.

    * Provide technical support to production teams and maintenance engineers.

    * Manage OEM service performance across the asset lifecycle.

    * Identify risks early, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions.

    * Maintain project schedules, cost control, and change‑management processes.

    * Support site infrastructure, facilities, compliance, and engineering best practice.

    What you’ll bring

    * HNC/Degree‑level electrical qualification or equivalent experience.

    * Strong technical capability across automation, control systems, and electrical engineering.

    * Proven problem‑solving ability and hands‑on skills for assembly, installation, and commissioning.

    * Ability to write specifications, design equipment, and produce drawings (AutoCAD).

    * Experience training maintenance engineers and supporting complex technical challenges.

    * Excellent organisation and project management skills.

Applications would be welcome from candidates in a similar field looking for a more project based and strategic role (maintenance managers, controls engineers or someone with a strong background in factory based electric maintenance)
