How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner

    Location: Bolton
    Start Date: Immediate start
    Salary: £14.25 - £16.25 per hour

    Willow Tree Nursery is a thriving and welcoming nursery in Bolton with a strong reputation for building meaningful relationships with children and their families. The nursery continues to grow with increasing demand and new enrolments, offering a fun, supportive environment where staff are encouraged to develop and succeed.

    The nursery is looking to appoint a full-time permanent Nursery Practitioner working 40 hours per week across 51 weeks of the year. The successful Nursery Practitioner will work with children across the nursery, acting as a key person for approximately 8 to 10 children, delivering engaging activities, supporting children's development, and maintaining excellent communication with parents through detailed daily handovers.

    The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

    Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare

    At least 1 year's experience working within a nursery setting (placements considered for newly qualified candidates)

    Good knowledge of the EYFS framework

    Excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues

    A warm, energetic and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's development

    A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team

    The successful Nursery Practitioner will work 8-hour shifts on a rota basis between 7:30am to 4:00pm and 9:00am to 6:00pm. Interviews are available immediately and will include an informal discussion followed by a stay-and-play session to observe your interaction with the children.
