How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are You Ready to Lead the Future of Operations? Step Up and Make an Impact!
Do you have a passion for transforming operations and driving results in fast-paced manufacturing or production environments? Are you an ambitious, high-potential professional with experience in engineering, production management, or health & safety leadership? If so, we want YOU to join us on our journey to shape the future in the West Midlands!
Your Opportunity: Lead Operations with Impact
We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to take ownership of our site's operational performance, with a particular focus on engineering, production, and H&S. This is your chance to make a lasting impact in a high-performance organisation. With a focus on organisation, resilience, and continuous improvement, this role provides the platform to drive operational excellence while supporting a safe and efficient workplace. For ambitious, career-oriented individuals, there is also clear potential to progress into General Management in the future.
Your Mission: Lead, Inspire, and Deliver Excellence
    · Lead & Inspire Teams: Motivate and empower cross-functional teams in production and engineering to achieve operational excellence every day. Build a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance that thrives even in times of change.
    · Take Ownership: Oversee the P&L of the site, ensuring strong financial performance while safeguarding revenue and achieving ambitious operational targets.
    · Develop People: Act as a mentor and coach to your team, fostering growth and development, and creating a highly engaged and valued workforce.
    · Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance engineering and production processes, improve efficiency, and embed LEAN principles throughout operations.
    · Champion Health & Safety: Use your expertise to maintain and elevate H&S standards, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture where safety is a priority. IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are highly advantageous.
    · Shape the Future: Identify opportunities for process innovation, efficiency gains, and operational excellence, aligning day-to-day operations with strategic goals.
    · Deliver Exceptional Standards: Maintain high standards in production quality, engineering reliability, and operational safety.
What You Bring to the Table:
    · Engineering & Production Expertise: Significant experience in production and engineering environments, potentially from a senior engineering role, with a proven ability to lead complex operational teams.
    · Health & Safety Focus: Exceptional knowledge and commitment to H&S, with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications being an advantage.
    · Proven Leadership: Experienced in leading high-performing teams, motivating and driving performance in challenging operational settings.
    · Highly Organised: Outstanding organisational skills allow you to manage multiple priorities, processes, and teams efficiently.
    · Change Management Expertise: Skilled in navigating procedural transitions, turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
    · Commercial Acumen: Confident in managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance metrics with a focus on efficiency and excellence.
    · Passion for Improvement: Continuous improvement is in your DNA - always striving to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and deliver results.
    · Career Ambition: Motivated to develop into broader leadership roles, with clear pathways into General Management for those who excel.
    Why Us?
    · Impactful Leadership: Lead a business that values engineering expertise, operational excellence, and a safe working environment.
    · Career Growth: This role provides a platform to grow your leadership experience, make a tangible impact on site operations, and progress into General Management.
    · Incredible Culture: Join a team that values resilience, results, and continuous learning. Your contributions will be celebrated, and professional growth is a priority.
    This Is Your Moment!
If you're driven, highly organised, and thrive in challenging production environments, this is the place to be. Step into a leadership role where you can drive operational excellence, champion health & safety, and build the foundation for future General Management opportunities.
