The Role
As an Art Teacher (Textiles Specialism), you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging Art and Textiles lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE (Key Stage 4).
* Inspire students to develop their creativity, technical skills and confidence through a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Prepare students for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
* Assess, monitor and report on student progress, using assessment to inform planning and intervention.
* Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
* Contribute to curriculum development and the continued success of the Art department.
* Participate fully in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, school events and wider school life.
* Maintain high expectations of behaviour, attendance and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Art and Textiles at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge with the ability to teach GCSE Art and Textiles.
* A passion for creative education and inspiring young people.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
