How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job title: Director of OperationsROLE PURPOSEThe Director of Operations is responsible for leading theCollege's operational functions relating to student recruitment, admissions,marketing, business development activity linked to recruitment, and associatedcustomer-service support across UK Management College campuses.The role covers the complete operational student journeyfrom initial attraction and enquiry through to application processing,admissions completion, successful enrolment, and formal handover of enrolledstudents to the academic departments.The post holder ensures that admissions, marketing andrecruitment-related operations are delivered in line with the strategy,standards and directions set by the Chief Operating Officer, to whom the rolereports.The role is operational only and does not cover academicdelivery, academic staffing, teaching, assessment or curriculum matters, whichsit with the Dean and the academic structure.SCOPEThis role is limited to the operational management of theAdmissions Department and the Marketing Department as the core departmentswithin the Director of Operations' portfolio, together with businessdevelopment and customer-service activities that directly support studentrecruitment and the admissions process.The role begins with attracting prospective students,managing enquiries and supporting applicants through the admissions process,and ends when students have successfully completed enrolment and are formallyhanded over to the academic (url removed) Management College operates as a partner and franchiseinstitution with partner universities and awarding bodies. The Director ofOperations must understand, apply and monitor the admissions policies,marketing requirements, recruitment expectations and relevant regulatoryrequirements of UK Management College and its partner universities, ensuringalignment between internal processes and partner requirements.The role does not include academic delivery, academicstaffing, curriculum management, assessment decisions or academic qualityresponsibilities. Any involvement with academic teams is limited to operationalcoordination required to complete admissions, enrolment and handover processes.REPORTING LINEReports to: Chief Operating Officer, UK ManagementCollege.Line Manages: Admissions Department, BusinessDevelopment and Recruitment, and Marketing Department.Operational Coordination Includes: Businessdevelopment activity, enquiry handling, customer-service support andadmissions-related student journey support, where these activities directlyrelate to attracting students, processing applications and completingadmissions.Works With: Chief Operating Officer, AcademicRegistry, Student Services, partner universities, agents, other relevantexternal stakeholders, and campus academic leadership on admissions, marketingand recruitment-related operational matters only.ROLE DISTINCTIONSChief Operating OfficerProvides institutional strategy, standards and direction foroperational functions; line manages the Director of Operations; and hasauthority to assign, expand, reduce or reallocate the Director of Operationsportfolio in line with UK Management College needs.Director of OperationsLeads operational delivery of Admissions and Marketing, withrecruitment-related business development and customer-service activity,ensuring compliant and effective student recruitment, admissions, enrolment andhandover to academic departments.Admissions DepartmentManages enquiry handling, application processing, admissionsdocumentation, applicant communication, enrolment support and formal handoverof successfully enrolled students to the academic departments.Marketing DepartmentManages marketing operations, recruitment campaigns,promotional activity, communications and materials that support studentrecruitment, in line with UK Management College, partner university andregulatory requirements.Business Development and RecruitmentManages business development and customer-service activitiesthat directly support student recruitment and the admissions process. The rolebegins with attracting prospective students, managing enquiries and supportingapplicants through the admissions process.Dean / Academic StructureResponsible for academic delivery, academic staffing,teaching, assessment, curriculum and academic quality across all campuses.These matters do not fall within the Director of Operations remit.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperational Delivery & LeadershipLead the day-to-day operational delivery of studentrecruitment, admissions, marketing and related customer-service activity acrossUK Management College campuses, within the strategy and standards set by theChief Operating Officer.Line manage the Admissions Department and MarketingDepartment, setting objectives, monitoring performance and ensuring consistentoperational standards, service quality and accountability across all campuses.Implement operational plans for recruitment, admissions andmarketing at campus level and report delivery, progress, performance and risksto the Chief Operating Officer.Admissions, Recruitment & Partner ComplianceManage the full operational admissions journey from enquiryand application through to offer, acceptance, enrolment completion and formaltransfer of successfully enrolled students to the academic departments.Ensure admissions operations comply with UK ManagementCollege policies and procedures and with the admissions policies, processrequirements and regulations of partner universities and awarding bodies.Maintain a clear understanding of regulatory requirementsrelating to admissions, recruitment, student communications, consumerprotection, data protection and marketing, and ensure these requirements areembedded in operational practice.Marketing & Business DevelopmentLead the operational delivery of marketing activity thatsupports student recruitment, ensuring campaigns, materials and communicationsare accurate, compliant, professional and aligned with UK Management Collegeand partner university requirements.Manage business development activity connected to studentrecruitment, including relationships with schools, colleges, agents, employers,community partners and other stakeholders who may support the recruitmentpipeline.Monitor recruitment performance, enquiry conversion,application progression and admissions outcomes, providing data, forecasts andrecommendations to the Chief Operating Officer.Customer Service, Student Journey & OperationalProcessesManage admissions-related customer-service standards toensure prospective students and applicants receive timely, accurate andprofessional support throughout the recruitment and admissions process.Ensure that admissions documentation, applicant records,offer information, enrolment evidence and operational audit trails areaccurate, complete and maintained in line with internal and partnerrequirements.Develop, implement and improve operational procedures,systems and workflows for admissions, marketing and recruitment-relatedactivity to enhance efficiency, compliance and applicant experience.Coordination, Risk, Reporting & Additional DutiesCoordinate with Student Services, Academic Registry andcampus academic leadership on admissions and enrolment requirements only,maintaining a clear boundary with academic delivery and academic staffing,which sit with the Dean and academic structure.Identify operational risks within admissions, marketing andrecruitment activity, implement appropriate controls, manage incidents whererequired and escalate significant matters to the Chief Operating Officer.Report operational performance, recruitment activity,admissions progress, compliance issues and student handover status to the ChiefOperating Officer on a regular basis.Undertake additional duties as required by the ChiefOperating Officer, who has authority to assign, expand, reduce or reallocatethe Director of Operations portfolio and responsibilities in line with thecurrent and future operational needs of UK Management College
