How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Developing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), construction phase plans, and other health and safety documentation.
Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring all subcontractors comply with project-specific health and safety requirements.
Supporting project teams during client inspections, external audits, and regulatory visits.
Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions to improve awareness and promote continuous improvement.
Producing health and safety reports, KPI data, and performance metrics for senior management and clients.
Working collaboratively with operational teams to identify potential risks and implement practical solutions without impacting programme delivery.
Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and industry best practice, ensuring continuous improvement across all projects.Requirements

Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager, Senior Health & Safety Advisor, HSE Manager, or similar health and safety leadership role within the construction industry.
Previous experience working for a Main Contractor, Principal Contractor, or specialist contractor delivering large-scale construction projects.
Experience within data centres, mission-critical, logistics, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other technically complex construction sectors is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation and the ability to work alongside European project teams and varying compliance requirements.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent health and safety qualification).
Membership of IOSH (minimum TechIOSH/GradIOSH), with Chartered status desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
