How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Foot Mobile Building Services Engineer

    M&E Services Provider
    Commercial Portfolio | London
    Salary: £48,000

    Alice Rose Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading FM service provider to recruit a Foot Mobile Building Services Engineer covering a portfolio of commercial properties across London.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer to join a well-established business, working across a variety of prestigious commercial buildings. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of building services systems while benefiting from ongoing training, career progression, and long-term stability.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Electrical Maintenance: Fault finding, emergency lighting, fire alarms, lighting, and general electrical systems

    * HVAC & Plant: AHUs, FCUs, filter changes, cleaning, and air conditioning systems

    * Mechanical & Plumbing: Basic plumbing, leak detection, and general mechanical maintenance

    * BMS Monitoring: Monitor building systems, identify faults, and report hot/cold trends

    * PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites

    * Compliance: Ensure logbooks and maintenance records are accurately maintained

    * Subcontractor Management: Escort and oversee specialist contractors on site

    * Team Support: Provide technical support and assist other engineers when required

    Working Hours

    * Monday to Friday

    * 08:00 – 17:00

    Requirements

    * City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)

    * Proven experience within commercial building maintenance

    * Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services

    * Multi-skilled with basic mechanical knowledge

    * Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    * Strong communication and customer service skills

    * Happy to work on a foot mobile basis, attending multiple commercial properties across London

    * Must be able to provide copies of trade qualifications
