How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Client
Our client is a specialist façade contractor delivering technically detailed façade packages across the UK construction sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Computational Design Engineer to join their Design & Engineering team.

This role would suit someone with strong experience in Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit who can create intelligent parametric models, improve design workflows and support the wider technical team from early-stage design through to fabrication and manufacturing outputs.

    Roles/Responsibilities
    · Develop parametric façade models across different project stages, from early quantification through to fabrication-ready deliverables.
    · Create and optimise Rhino and Grasshopper scripts for façade geometry, panel rationalisation, performance optimisation and design automation.
    · Produce models across LOD 200–250, LOD 300–350 and LOD 400 stages, supporting quantification, BIM coordination, ERP integration and fabrication exports.
    · Integrate Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit workflows, including Rhino.Inside.Revit or similar tools, to support federated BIM models and client requirements.
    · Export fabrication data including BOMs, STEP files, NC outputs and schedules to support manufacturing and CNC processes.
    · Ensure model accuracy, data integrity and parametric associativity across all project stages.
    · Work closely with senior technical designers, project managers, fabrication teams and site teams to refine models based on project feedback.
    · Develop reusable parametric components, scripts and Revit families to improve efficiency and standardise computational design processes.

    Qualifications
    · Strong experience in computational design within the façade, cladding, curtain walling, windows or architectural glazing sector.
    · Advanced knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit.
    · Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CWCT standards and relevant BS/EN codes would be advantageous.

    Benefits
    · Competitive salary depending on experience.
    · Opportunity to work on complex and technically challenging façade projects.
    · Long-term progression within a specialist design and engineering team
