How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    If you're an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking to expand your skillset, increase your earnings and join a supportive team that genuinely invests in training and development, we'd love to hear from you.

    As a Refrigeration Engineer, you'll be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and temperature control systems across the South East.

    Working from home, you'll cover Kent, Dartford, Essex, South East London and surrounding areas, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and fault finding across a variety of commercial and light industrial refrigeration applications.

    You'll be working on equipment including:

    What's In It For You as Refrigeration Engineer?

    * £48,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary = Realistic OTE of £62,000+

    * Door-to-door travel paid + Time and a half overtime rates + Double time at weekends and overnight

    * £150 standby payment

    * 1 in 4 call-out rota

    With engineers typically working 10+ hours overtime per week, there is a genuine opportunity to significantly increase your earnings.

    Outstanding Benefits:

    * 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

    * Christmas Shutdown

    * 5% Employer Pension Contribution

    * Death in Service Cover (4 x Salary)

    * Long-Term Disability Cover

    * Enhanced Sick Pay Scheme

    * Training & Development

    This company actively invests in its engineers and will provide training on ammonia refrigeration equipment, allowing you to further develop your technical capabilities and future-proof your career.

    Experience working on chillers, refrigeration packs, controls and industrial refrigeration equipment would be highly advantageous.

    Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to continue learning and developing.
