How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant

    Salary: £100-£115 per day.
    Location: Royston / Meldreth, Hertfordshire
    Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm)
    Contract: Temporary-to-Permanent

    We are looking for compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our growing specialist team and help transform the lives of children and young people with additional learning needs.

    We are a highly specialist independent day school supporting students aged 6-19 with a range of additional needs, including:

    Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    ADHD
    Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
    Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
    Complex medical needs
    Sensory and physical impairments

    The Role

    As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping students learn, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Supporting students' learning and development across the curriculum
    Assisting students in the classroom, around the school, and within the local community
    Helping students build confidence, communication skills, and independence
    Supporting children and young people with a wide range of learning, sensory, physical, and medical needs
    Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality support
    Promoting inclusion, equality, and positive outcomes for every student
    Providing personal care and physical support where required
    Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
    Contributing to a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
