How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Teacher Opportunity – Join a Thriving Secondary School in Bushey!

    Salary: M1–UPS3 (£34,398–£52,490)

    Are you a passionate and dedicated Psychology Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bushey.

    This is an exciting full-time opportunity to teach Psychology in a supportive department, inspiring students and helping them develop a deeper understanding of human behaviour while achieving their full academic potential. The role is initially until Christmas 2026, with the opportunity to become temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

    About the Role

    As a Psychology Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Psychology lessons, primarily at Key Stage 5.
    Plan and deliver lessons in line with departmental schemes of work and examination board specifications.
    Monitor, assess and support student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
    Mark and assess students' work accurately and in a timely manner.
    Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
    Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, enabling every learner to succeed.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
    Contribute to the wider life of the school and support departmental enrichment opportunities where appropriate.

    What We're Looking For

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
    Experience teaching Psychology at secondary level, ideally including A Level.
    Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    A collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach to teaching.
    The ability to motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
