How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Have previous experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex or high-needs SEN.
Have experience working with non-verbal children or using alternative communication strategies (desirable).
Be patient, resilient and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Be confident working on a 1:1 basis and following individual support plans.
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving is essential for this role.
Have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Competitive daily pay rates paid weekly via PAYE.
Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
Access to free CPD and specialist SEND training.
Opportunities for long-term and permanent positions.
A rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey.
If you have the experience, patience and commitment to support a young child with complex SEN needs, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today with your up-to-date CV.

Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references in line with safer recruitment practices.
