How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Working alongside experienced mechanical and controls engineers, you'll play a key role in delivering complete turnkey automation systems across a variety of manufacturing environments.

    The Role

    * Design, program and integrate industrial robotic systems.

    * Deliver robotics as standalone solutions and as part of larger automation projects.

    * Work closely with mechanical and controls engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Commission, install and support equipment both in-house and on customer sites.

    * Carry out fault finding, servicing and optimisation of existing systems.

    * Provide technical leadership on robotics projects and mentor colleagues where required.

    * Travel regularly throughout the UK and internationally, primarily Europe and North America.

    Skills & Experience

    * Proven experience integrating and programming industrial robots.

    * Experience with one or more robot manufacturers such as Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki or Nachi.

    * Background within factory automation, special purpose machinery or manufacturing environments.

    * Knowledge of industrial control systems and industrial networking (e.g. EtherNet/IP or Profinet).

    * Experience commissioning automated machinery.

    * PLC, HMI or SCADA programming experience would be advantageous.

    * Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and project ownership skills.

    * Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

    * Willingness to travel internationally as projects require.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    What's on Offer

    * Salary of £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.

    * Overtime and additional earning potential.

    * Regular international travel with expenses and daily allowances covered.

    * Private healthcare and company pension.

    * Career progression within a growing automation business.

    * Ongoing training across robotics and industrial automation.

    * Early finish on Fridays.

    * Opportunity to work on technically challenging, bespoke engineering projects.
