How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking to step into your first Registered Manager position?

    Or an established Registered Manager seeking the opportunity to build and shape a brand-new children's home?

    We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and ambitious provider launching a new 3-bed Children's EBD home in Birmingham.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join from the very beginning and play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and successful service for children and young people.

    The Role

    As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the setup, registration and ongoing development of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are maintained at all times.

    You will work closely alongside an experienced Responsible Individual who has a strong track record within children's residential services and is committed to providing ongoing support.

    ✅ Existing Registered Managers

    ✅ Experienced Deputy Managers ready to take the next step

    ✅ Individuals with a minimum of 3 years' experience within children's residential care

    ✅ Candidates with a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and compliance

    ✅ Professionals who have supported inspections, safeguarding and quality assurance processes

    ✅ Level 5 Residential Childcare qualified or working towards
