How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An Excellent opportunity for Trainee Security Systems Engineers to join a well-established company based in Maidstone, Kent.

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

    Salary: Very Competitive Salary.

    Location: Maidstone, Kent.

    The Company:

    They are an NSI Gold company based at their Harrietsham office, Kent. Due to expansion, they have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Trainee Security and Systems Engineers.

    The successful candidate would join their team, to carry out installation, maintenance, and support on a full range of security systems.

    Opportunities may arise for working overseas. We work in primarily in the Southeast and London. There may be a requirement to work away from home occasionally as part of a team.

    Role & Requirements:

    They are looking for a highly motived person who wishes to start or further develop a career in security systems.

    You should have a good level of verbal & written communication and the ability to work well within a team.

    Be aged 21 or older, due to vehicle insurance requirements.

    It is imperative the role holder can follow instruction and adhere to health and safety directives.

    On completion of the training the role includes on-call work, and you will be added to the Company’s on call rota.

    To be considered you need to have:

    * Excellent customer service skills, and a clean, tidy, and professional work ethic.

    * Full, clean UK driving license.

    * The ability to learn and adapt to changing environments, products, and requirements.

    * Great organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

    Desired Attributes:

    * A working knowledge with electrical installation or the construction industry. Knowledge of Access and Entry Control systems, Emergency Call Systems, IP CCTV, and Intruder Alarms would be an advantage.

    * Base intellect to effectively be trained and develop within the organisation.

    * Clean, tidy, and professional work ethic.
