How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Gloucester
    Salary: £32,000 – £42,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus + OTE £45,000–£55,000+ + Overtime

    The Role
    As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
    Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
    Complete inspections, fault finding and repairs efficiently and accurately.
    Conduct road tests where required to identify and confirm repairs.
    Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
    Maintain accurate job records and follow workshop processes.
    Participate in ongoing technical and manufacturer training.
    Contribute to workshop productivity while delivering outstanding customer service.What We're Looking For

    Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
    Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
    Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Service Technician, or Mechanic.
    Main dealer experience is desirable but not essential.
    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
    A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.Working Hours

    Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
    Saturdays: Rota basis, paid as overtimeWhat's on Offer

    £32,000 – £42,000 basic salary (depending on experience).
