How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Speech and Language Therapist

    Location: Hounslow
    Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
    Hours: Full Time (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
    Salary: Up to £60000 (Role open to Band 5, 6 and 7 applicants)

    Our client, a specialist further education provider, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary therapy team.

    This rewarding role involves supporting young adults aged 19-25 with a range of complex learning and communication needs, including severe and profound learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping learners develop effective communication skills and maximise their independence and participation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions.
    Develop and implement personalised communication programmes.
    Work collaboratively with education, therapy and support staff to embed communication strategies across the curriculum.
    Provide advice, training and guidance to colleagues and families where appropriate.
    Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.
    Support the ongoing development of the therapy service.About You

    Applicants should have:

    A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and relevant professional registration.
    A minimum of two years' experience working within a specialist educational or similar setting.
    Experience supporting individuals with severe learning disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism and complex communication needs.
    A basic understanding of dysphagia management and appropriate referral pathways.
    Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative working skills.
    A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young adults with additional needs.What's on Offer
